Plastic Free Range of products

Plastic free living

We have from day one set out to be as eco friendly as we can possibly be.

Here at the Natural Health Store we are constantly looking for new ways and products to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce plastic use.

From day one we set up a refill system for our washing up and laundry liquids as well as fabric conditioner, with the motto of refill not landfill. This is now becoming more and more popular and as demands grow we will increase our range.

Degradable Carrier Bags

bio-degradable carrier bags

From the very first day we opened our store we have only offered bio-degradable bags. Although these days lots of shops are now jumping on the bandwagon (better late than never I guess)

These eco-friendly carrier bags combine food safe polythene with additives to accelerate the degradation process.

These additives allow for the bags to fully degrade in 12-24 months in landfill. Here they will break down into small fragments before biodegrading into CO2, water, minerals, and biomass.

Plastic free Shampoo and Conditioner Bars

Shampoo and Conditioner Bars

Shampoo bars are not only convenient for travel, they’re also much better for the environment than traditional plastic shampoo bottles.

It’s no secret that products from the skin care and hair care industries have been detrimental to the environment.

The bars are more concentrated than traditional shampoos and conditioners, so you can use less per application and they will last longer.

Plastic free Deodorant Stick Papertube

Cardboard tube Deodorant’s

As a strictly vegan couple Ben & Anna have always paid close attention to what they consumed. Our purchasing habits have always predominantly consisted of products from sustainable and / or organic sources. In the realm of cosmetic products, I have always trusted in the power of nature as well.

I had long been searching for a suitable deodorant for myself. It needed to be vegan and not tested on animals. I also wanted a deodorant without aluminum and it was impossible for me to find anything that fit the bill. So we decided to develop our own deodorant which is based solely on all natural ingredients and is free of parabens. It’s a deodorant which can be used by men and women alike. After several attempts, and a lot of time and tinkering we were ready to launch the new plastic free deodorant, which we are very proud of.
